Ever since I was little, I’ve been passionate about traveling. There’s nothing like the excitement you feel when your plane is about to take off. I was fortunate that both of my parents worked in the airline industry, which meant that when I was growing up in Montreal, long weekends in Europe were a happy reality.
In more recent years, I’ve also developed a love and appreciation for food. This is mostly thanks to my boyfriend, Harrison, who introduced me to a number of great restaurants in Toronto, which is where I now call home. In the past year, I’ve started to (really) cook at home, inspired by a recent trip to France and a number of food bloggers that I follow. I love the appreciation the French have for food and how they cook with whatever is fresh at the market. As I ramp up my cooking efforts, I’m really going to try buying more locally-sourced ingredients, in particular during the non-winter seasons.
This blog will share the stories of my travels and my culinary adventures, both at home and abroad. I hope you enjoy following along!
